Jonathan Clubb
Hi Lake Hills Community Church!
My name is Jonathan Clubb and as your incoming youth intern I wanted to take the opportunity to introduce myself to you all and give you a little background information that will help you get to know me. I was born and raised in Kansas and spent my junior high and high school years living in a tiny rural farm town with my 6 brothers and one sister. After high school, I attended a small Christian college in Kansas where I played football and then later transferred to Kansas State University. After a few years there, I came out here to California to finish up my undergraduate work at the Master’s College. After graduating in 2006 with a degree in Bible, I began my graduate work at the Master’s Seminary where I am just beginning the third year of the M.Div program.
Spiritually, I was blessed to be born into a family with a long heritage of Christian people and put my trust in Christ alone at a young age. High School was a crucial time for me in making my faith my own and taking ownership in the truth that being a true follower of Christ includes both my actions and my heart. The experience strengthened my passion for the gospel and it was during my sophomore year that I felt God’s calling in my life to pursue a lifetime of ministry. I have been involved in youth ministry for the past four years and have loved every minute of it! What I would love to see come about here at Lake Hills is a youth ministry that is characterized by a lot of fun, craziness, fellowship, and most importantly a deep passion and devotion to God and His Word. I want Lake Hills’ youth group to be known as a place where Scripture is the foundation and you can come to learn more about how God needs to be impacting your life. I also would like to see us be a group that affects the local community through sharing the gospel and outreach events that honor and glorify God. I am excited to see how God will work in the lives of the young people at Lake Hills and how He will grow this ministry that I have been blessed to have been given the opportunity to serve in. I’m looking forward to getting to know all of you and serving God together in ministry!
